the first week of school

Holidays are a period of time whereby students get to enjoy themselves without having to go to school or have to study at all. As time passes during the holiday period, the fear and discomforting feeling that the holidays are going to end and after they do so, every student would have to go to school again, takes over every child's heart; even if this does not refer to every child, it certainly refers to me. As i feared, the school holidays have ended and I have started to go to school regularly again.
I have had a mix of positive and negative emotions since the school holidays ended. It was happy to meet my close friends and my friendly teachers in school again. On the other hand, I feel disappointed of having to wake up early in the morning to leave for school and having to start studying again. I am still getting used to the routine of having to attend school everyday. I hope that I can get along well with my new teachers and maintain my good and closer relationship with my previous teachers.
My first week of school has not been anything special. The only new things in my school are the new secondary 1 students and the new teachers. It feels good not to be the youngest batch in the school anymore. I also hope that I would be able to develop good ties between me and the secondary 1s. I have still not be able to mix with the students from secondary 1 as they had gone to their orientation camp in the first few days of school.
Since school reopened, we have already started our lessons. We have firstly got to know what we will be doing for the subject, design and technology, this year and i feel very excited about it. We have started on our lessons for mathematics, biology and history. The information that I have got to know so far are fascinating and i can't wait to get started on the lessons for my other subjects.
The other thing that i feel excited about is my co-curricular activity, ncc land. I feel happy to know that all the members on my batch have been promoted lance corporal from a private. I can't wait to get going on with the activities on my co-curricular activity and getting to do activities together with my squad members.
My new year resolution is to be attentive in my class during the lessons and to do well for my streaming this year.

Hi Prathaban

GOOD RESOLUTIONS AND MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THEM! :) Don't worry, I will remind you. Heh.

Congrats on your promotion to LCP. Be a diligent soldier and ever thought of gunning for more leadership positions? I'm sure you can!
